Biography:

Peter Quill, known as Star-Lord, is a central character in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. He is portrayed by Chris Pratt in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Quill was born to Meredith Quill and Ego, a Celestial being. Following his mother's death in, he was abducted from Earth by Yondu Ravager and his crew. He became part of their group, learning to be a skilled thief and fighter.

In the first *Guardians of the Galaxy* film, Starlord assembles a team of outlaws to prevent Ronan the Accuser from using an Infinity Stone to destroy Xandar. He possesses a strong sense of loyalty and a penchant for 80s Earth music.

His first appearance in the MCU was in *Guardians of the Galaxy* (2014).
